Treks begin from the Jubilee Car Park, Mottistone Down (National Trust) on the road between Brighstone and Calbourne (Moortown Lane).

If you have a satnav, the closest postcode is PO30 4AZ.

From Newport

From Coppins Bridge roundabout, take the town centre exit, go straight across the traffic lights by Morrisons, then take the right fork at the next set of lights then left by HSBC into Pyle Street. This will bring you into Carisbrooke.
Go straight across 2 mini roundabouts and keep going staight ahead up Carisbrooke High Street. At the top is a 3rd mini roundabout; turn left here, towards Shorwell.
Follow this road through Shorwell, taking the right hand fork at the mini roundabout past The Crown pub (does very good food!) and on into Brighstone. Pass the shops and thatched post office, take the next right into Moortown Lane. Follow this as it winds up hill. At the crest of the hill you will find the National Trust car park. Look for the Wight Llama Treks van.

From Sandown or Shanklin

Either, take the A3056 (from Sandown) or the A3020 (from Shanklin) into Newport and follow the directions as above, or, take the scenic coastal route through Shanklin, Ventnor and Niton along the A3055 travelling west.
Leave Niton heading towards Blackgang, take the right exit at the roundabout by Blackgang Chine Amusement Park, follow the Military road for several miles, passing the Dinosaur Farm Museum and Atherfield Bay holiday camp.
After a sharp left hand bend over a narrow bridge, take the next right into Brighstone. Turn left into the village, go past the shops and the village hall. Take the next right into Moortown Lane (don't turn right by the thatched post office) and follow this road as it winds up hill. At the summit you will find the NT carpark on the left hand side, just after a lane on the left which goes rapidly down hill (its very narrow so don't go down it by mistake!!)

From Ventnor

Take the A3055 coastal road travelling West and follow the directions above.

From Cowes or Ryde

Take the A3020 (from Cowes) or the A3054 (from Ryde) into Newport and follow the directions from the Coppins Bridge roundabout.

From Bembridge, Brading, St. Helens

Follow directions from Ryde or Sandown.

From Freshwater

Take the B3399 towards Newport and turn right in Calbourne opposite the Sun Inn pub, towards Winkle Street, and Brighstone. Follow the road through the forest and up hill. At the crest of the hill is a right turn into the NT car park.
Alternatively, follow the A3055 coast road (Military Road) until you reach Brighstone Holiday Village, shortly after this turn left into Brighstone. Follow the directions above from left turn into Brighstone village.
